Privacy notice
Last updated 19 September 2026
This notice covers learnerapp.co.uk and learnerapp.uk, the website you are reading. The Learner app at my.learnerapp.co.uk handles learner and lesson records and has its own notice, which you are shown when you sign up.
What this site collects
Only what you type into the waiting list form, and only when you send it. That is your email address, and, if you choose to fill them in, your name and your postcode area. The form also records which of the two addresses above you used and, where a link brought you here, the reference on that link. Nothing else about your visit is recorded.
Why
To write to you once, when there is a place for you in the app. Your name is used to address that email. Your postcode area is used to decide which parts of the country to open first, and whether you are an instructor or a learner decides which order people are invited in.
We rely on your consent, which you give by sending the form, and you can withdraw it at any time by replying to the email asking to be removed.
What it is never used for
- It is never sold, rented or passed to anyone for their own purposes.
- It is never used for a newsletter, a product update or any other marketing.
- It never becomes part of an advertising profile.
Cookies and measurement
This site sets no cookies, uses no local storage and carries no analytics, no advertising tags and no third-party trackers. That is why you have not been asked to accept anything.
Who else is involved
- Cloudflare hosts the site and stores the waiting list, on servers in the United Kingdom and the European Union. Cloudflare logs requests for security and performance in the ordinary way any host does.
- Google Fonts serves the typeface. Your browser asks Google for the font file, which means Google sees your IP address and the fact a page here was loaded.
How long it is kept
Until the app opens to you and for twelve months afterwards, or until you ask for it to be deleted, whichever comes first. Entries from people who never take up their place are deleted at the end of that twelve months.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, and it will be done within one month. Reply to any email you receive from us to ask. If you are not satisfied with the answer you can complain to theInformation Commissioner's Office.
Changes
If this site starts collecting something it does not collect today, this notice changes on the same day and the date at the top changes with it. Thehelp centre has more about how the app itself handles learner records.
